My story
I’m Jordi, a graphic designer living and working in Germany.
As a kid, I developed a deep excitement for Freestyle Motocross. Europe’s largest and most influential print medium at the time—German motoX magazine—became my portal into the captivating world of FMX. Like many other kids, I drew my favorite riders on blank pages of my school books, scribbled Fleshgear logos, and threw No-Footers and Can-Cans on a bicycle over a self-built plywood ramp (I wasn’t going big by any means, but the feeling of just doing a small trick was huge!)
Life circumstances shifted my focus, but my fascination with Freestyle Motocross never faded. In my ongoing pursuit of new creative projects, I developed a vision in the beginning of 2023: a unique coffee table book. It didn’t take long for me to connect the dots, and soon I dove headfirst into an inspiring journey and an uphill battle, working to create an outstanding book about the sport I’ve always admired.
Fast forward to 2025: I’m still deep into the process, but the goal comes closer, step by step. My perseverance, dedication and passion made it possible for me to welcome over 40 of the worlds most influential photographers on board, who already shared their archives or currently prepare them to be shared for the book. I conducted 120 personal conversations via remote video calls, from the absolute icons of the sport to the unsung heroes behind the scenes.
There is so much more work to do, but I absolutely love the process and everything that comes with it, highs and lows.
